This magnificent hardcover book, printed in Germany, contains 142 duotone photographs by Francis Wolff [from the period 1946-1967] and 46 duotone photographs by Jimmy Katz [from the period 1994-2009], covering the entire history of the Blue Note label. Most of these images are published here for the first time. The book includes essays by Ashley Kahn, Rudy Van Gelder, Bruce Lundvall, Michael Cuscuna and Jimmy Katz and 2 CDs of "The Sound of Blue Note" (compiled by Michael Cuscuna).
